CITATION GUIDE

Below are basic guidelines for citing archival materials in Chicago Style. When citing an archival item, there may not be a defined title; in this case, include a short description, i.e., “Letter from Susan Jones to Robert Smith”.

Footnote: 
Item Description (order or negative number if applicable), Date, Box Number, Folder Number, Collection Number, Collection Name, Buckingham Browne & Nichols Archives.

Collection Name. Collection Number. Buckingham Browne & Nichols Archives.
