The Browne & Nichols crew team takes place in the 1st heat of the Thames Challenge Cup, beating Peterhouse College, Cambridge, July 4, 1929. The B&N team went on to win the Regatta.

The BB&N Archives collects, preserves, describes, and makes available materials that document the history of the school, with a focus on supporting the educational and research needs of BB&N's community. BROWNE & NICHOLS
Harvard classmates George Henry Browne and Edgar H. Nichols open Browne & Nichols School in 1883 as a college preparatory.
BUCKINGHAM
Radcliffe graduate Jeanette Markham begins teaching in 1889 and opens The Buckingham School officially in 1902.
BB&N
In January of 1974, Elizabeth Stowe retired as head of Buckingham and the two schools merged under Peter K. Gunness.
